state fair? yes, please.

i'm not sure if any of you know, but once upon a time, i fell in love with isaac at the utah state fair. okay, maybe not in LOVE, but it's where it all started. we haven't been since, but this year i had an itch to go. and it was glorious. random. ideal. everybody should make it appoint to attend the utah state fair, or at least a fair near you.

i love these pictures. we were so sad when josie and lily had to leave to their new home in georgia. but so excited that the holidays are coming, so it won't be long till we see them again.

so much fun in yellowstone

we love yellowstone. max got some quality cousin time, which he needed. it was so fun to have luke and his kids there, this year. we celebrated our 3rd anniversary this year in yellowstone. i am so lucky to be married to a funny, loving, patient man. marrying him was the best decision i've made yet. so thankful for ya babe. love you.

max has been getting some new hobbies lately. and his favorite so far has been skateboarding. he's pretty great at it, too. ignore that fact that he can't even stand on the skateboard yet, he's only got the two hand steering down. but we're hoping that by the 2012 x-games we'll be ready.

aren't these two just made for each other? they are the my two favorite side kicks. and this is pretty much what we do everyday. i load them both up in carla the corolla, and we're off! we do all of our errands together. it's so fun to have both of them with me always. besides the times when bob thinks it's funny to eat my groceries, and the wrappings they come in. (and yes, that is how max smiles for the camera)

the past month we've spent a lot of time with the buie's. scott t. took us on a little family trip to vegas and st. george. we had so much fun, and max had so much fun spending time with his grandpa and grandma buie. he's getting so big, and...(the worst word ever) old. he's a toddler, he's not a little babe anymore. which sometimes makes me so sad, but right now i'm sitting here listening to him scream his head off because i put him in bed. please sleep gods, help him get to sleep soon...

i took these a few weeks ago, and i couldn't help but take a few pics of max and his funny faces. most of them are his say "cheese" faces, which there are many versions of. i personally think he just likes to show off his teeth.

i was at the gym this morning watching the horror play out on tv with what is going on in japan.
the lady on the treadmill next to me said, "when will it be our turn?" the japanese people have not only experienced the 5th largest earthquake ever recorded, but have had more than 1000 aftershocks. they have a nuclear plant leaking (i'm not sure what but dangerous nuclear radiation stuff). there are over 10,000 dead, and thousands more missing. i know i am a silly mommy blogger, but may all our thoughts and prayers go to the many people suffering in our world right now. i know there will come a day when our country will need those thoughts and prayers.

i love humidity

i may not have had the swimsuit body i wanted in the bahamas. and yes, my tan may have been a tad orange from the spray on tan i got a few days before we left. but there is one thing i had going for me down there, great hair.

okay, and i had a handsome redhead by my side, too.
